Miss Pankaj-Gupta Roy graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India and obtained MD degree in research from Dundee University, UK focusing on molecular markers in breast cancer.
Miss Roy did her higher surgical training in Oxford, UK and National Oncoplastic Breast fellowship in Nottingham, UK. She is now Lead Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals, UK since 2011 and Director of the Oxford Breast Clinic.
Miss Roy has established a high quality oncoplastic unit for treatment of breast cancer with active engagement in clinical trials and research. She is the principal investigator for national and international trials in breast surgery in Oxford. She is actively involved in tissue bio banking and a collaborator on research projects focusing on alteration of metabolic pathways in breast cancer.
She is a surgical lead for the regional NIHR network to encourage participation and facilitate engagement in surgical trials. She teaches on RCS England breast surgery courses and is Course Director of the Oxford Oncoplastic Breast Surgery course (OOPS).
