Mr Haroon Siddiqui has been Consultant Plastic Surgeon at South Tees NHS Foundation Trust since 2001 and has developed the Teesside regional Pelvic soft tissue reconstruction service.
In his role as Clinical director for Plastic surgery in his trust for the last 3 years he has improved various outcome measures relevant to providing safe care, timeframes for treatment and a harmonious work environment.
Mr Siddiqui has been the Chair of the Teesside Skin cancer MDT for over 9 years and has successfully developed pathways for skin cancers to comply with safe delivery of care, compliance with government targets in addition to peer review evaluation. He has also been the audit lead for skin cancer for the NE region and mentor for skin cancer specialist nurses.
Mr Siddiqui provides a sub-regional service in hypospadias, adult penile reconstruction especially for buried penis, gynae-oncology and anal cancer reconstruction.
He leads a monthly regional Pressure Sore MDT supported by a Consultant in Rehabilitation medicine, specialist nurses and has extended support of Orthopaedic, Colorectal and Urological surgeons. He has devised pathways to help minimise hospital stays and ensuring care packages for step down facility before surgical treatments, and for careful management of patients with regards to outcomes and expectations.
