Professor Lisbet Rosenkrantz-Hölmich works as Clinical Research Assistant Professor and Consultant in the Department of Plastic Surgery, Herlev University Hospital in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Professor Rosenkrantz-Hölmich has been a board certified Plastic Surgeon since 2006 and before that undertook a 5-year period of research in the Danish Cancer Society. Her Doctor of Medical Science thesis from Copenhagen University in 2009 was titled: Epidemiological, Clinical and Oncological Aspects of Silicone Breast Implantation.
Professor Rosenkrantz-Hölmich has a profound interest in oncological and reconstructive aspects of Plastic Surgery, both clinically and scientifically. She is chairman of the Danish Melanoma Group and clinical database, and is on the board of the Danish Breast Cancer Group. Her main clinical activities are treatment of complex melanoma and other skin cancer patients in addition to implant based breast reconstruction; both immediate, delayed and as oncoplastic procedures.
Professor Rosenkrantz-Hölmich teaches Plastic Surgery at the university, is head of the Departments’ research unit, is supervisor for several PhD-students, has currently 83 peer-reviewed publications, and has held numerous scientific lectures and presentations.
Professor Rosenkrantz-Hölmich is national member of UEMS/EPOBRAS, national member of the ACLC Global Network and functions as liason person for the Danish Medicines Agency regarding breast implantation. She took part in the scientific evaluation and writing of the two expert reports on PIP Implants by the EU expert group (SCHENHIR WG).
